What HighSchoolTrends is

HighSchoolTrends.org is independent and not affiliated with U.S. News & World Report. It covers 30,000+ searchable US high schools, with each school’s rank history across up to 8 editions under US News's current methodology (2019–2026) (where archived pages prove them, earlier medal-list ranks (2012–2018) are shown separately and never compared), its rank movement since the previous edition, graduation rates, AP results and enrollment.

National and state ranks come from the 2026-27 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools edition. HighSchoolTrends adds each school's rank history across up to 8 editions under US News's current methodology (2019–2026) (where archived pages prove them, earlier medal-list ranks (2012–2018) are shown separately and never compared), and enrollment and demographic context from the NCES Common Core of Data.
